  • Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is thought to help prevent hair loss and is found in fish and shellfish, meat (especially liver), poultry, eggs, milk, and dairy products.

Biotin is essential for healthy hair and it has been suggested that it may prevent hair loss in men. It can be found in brown rice, soybeans, walnuts and bulgur wheat.

Inocitol is vital for many functions, including helping neurons to communicate with the nervous system. It also makes our hair grow! You can find it in calves’ liver, cantaloupe, chickpeas, lecithin granules, lentils, citrus fruits (except lemons), nuts, oats, pork, rice, veal, and whole grain.

Vitamin C is not only good for our immune system; it also improves the circulation of the scalp. In order to promote hair growth it is important to maintain capillaries that carry blood to the follicles. It can be found in a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. Good sources include peppers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, oranges and kiwi fruit.

Vitamin E is essential for hair growth because hair health is tied to the immune health. Vitamin E is believed to stimulate hair growth by enhancing immune function. The richest sources are plant oils such as soya, corn and olive oil.
