ISLAMABAD: In a recorded speech telecasted at 7.45PM today, Imran Khan has warned the ultra-religious parties to restrain from challenging the verdict of SCP.

He was addressing the religious activists who are attempting to challenge the writ of law all over the country agitating against the SCP verdict apropos acquittal of Asia Bibi who was accused of blasphemy.

Asking the nation to remain vigilant against such elements, PM pointed out that for the first time in its history Pakistan was trying to contain its economic quagmire.

He warned that calling SC judges ‘wajib-ul-qatal’, terming COAS as non-Muslim and inciting the armed forces to resort to mutiny, will only benefit the enemies.

The prime minister has reminded that Pakistan was the only nation in history that came into being in the name of Islam and its Constitution was thus moduled according to the teachings of Quran and Sunnah:

Supporting the SCP verdict apropos acquittal of Asia Bibi, accused of blasphemy, he maintained that the decision was made following the law of the land that was formulated according to the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

Prime Minister has further reminded that Pakistan was the only country in the world that had successfully protested against the holding of caricature competition ridiculing the Holy Prophet (PBUM).

He said that due to the lobbying of PTI Government the International Court of justice too proclaimed that ridiculing the Holy Prophet could by no means be reckoned as freedom of speech.

PM has finally warned that those trying to damage the public and private properties and disrupt the peace would be dealt with by the state.
